The "I Am" Project is thriled to partner with Z Club NY to provide Zumba® "I Am" workshops. "I Am" teachers team up with Z Club NY Zumba® instructors to deliver a high-energy class that comhines "I Am" tools with Zumba® as the main movement piece. Z Club NY provides Zumba® classes all over New York City, working with only the best and most passionate instructors.
The "I Am" Project is excited to partner with Integral Yoga Institute New York City's Yoga At School classes. These workshops give students of every size, shape, and physical ability a supportive, noncompetitive, and inclusive form of physical exercise that is fun and empowering.Yoga helps students improve their health and concentration, find alternatives to violence, and develop a lifelong interest in wellness.
The "I Am" Project was piloted and continues to grow at Bala Cynwyd Middle School. Bala Cynwyd Middle School maintains a strong tradition of academic and co-curricular excellence and a nurturing, supportive learning environment for grades 6-8. With the guidance of a highly talented and dedicated staff and the structure of a rigorous, multi-disciplinary curriculum, students enjoy an individualized experience that prepares them to advance through their schooling as independent thinkers and compassionate, responsible global citizens.
The "I Am" Project began as the "I Am" Curriculum nurtured in the eVOLVE program at Bala Cynwyd Middle School. eVOLVE is a progressive, cross-curricular program for sixth-graders led by teachers Mary Beth Hegeman and Jamie Gaffga. eVOLVE’s mission is to empower students to solve academic, societal, and personal problems through the acquisition and application of skills, real-life experiences, guided investigations, and regular reflection.
The "I Am" Project partners with organizations, schools, Yoga studios, and individuals to bring workshops to as many communities as possible.
The Tribe 12 Fellowship provides entrepreneurally-minded 20s and 30s with the tools and connections to create and improve ventures that will leverage the Jewish community for the benefit of all communities. The "I Am" Project is proud to be part of The Fellowship's 2014 class of ventures.
The "I Am" Project partners with PRODEV Haiti to bring classes to schools in underserved communities in Haiti. PRODEV's mission is to develop, manage and support schools and centers in underserved communities. Our network is committed to accessibility, excellence and civic participation. We advocate locally and internationally to promote the idea that only education can create a stronger Haiti.
The Minding Your Mind foundation provided support during The "I Am" Project's pilot year, enabling us to offer our workshops for free to schools. Minding Your Mind’s primary objective is to improve the lives of adolescents with mental health issues by eliminating the negative attitudes and behaviors perpetuated by stigma of mental health problems. To this end, they provide direct support and technical assistance to initiatives that advance public awareness, encourage treatment and promote recovery of mental health issues.
The "I Am" Project provides mindfulness-based workshops for Fountain House's College Re-Entry program, which aims to facilitate the transition for young adults struggling with mental illness. Fountain House is dedicated to the recovery of men and women living with mental illness, providing opportunities for our members to live, work, and learn, while contributing their talents through a community of mutual support. They seek a high quality of life for all our members and the ultimate elimination of societal stigma against those living with mental illness.
